Prior to Ithaka, he was Chief Technical and Operations Officer at Marubeni (Portugal), where he was responsible for the operations of a 2,000 MW portfolio of energy generation assets. Before his time at Marubeni, Hermenegildo was a Director in FCC, in independent infrastructure and energy conglomerate based in Madrid (Spain), where he worked in the Energy Division responsible of new renewable greenfield projects. Prior to FCC, he was country manager in Australia and plant manager of several power generation assets in UNION FENOSA globally.

He is an Industrial Engineer and holds a MD in electricity and electronics from the University of Navarra (Spain).
